Human Flora
Human Flora was created in pursuit of finding the bond between human body and the environment it inhabits.
The origin of species is no secret to us humans, science has already answered numerous questions on where we came from. Yet the course set by our civilization seems to be heading away from its source, and makes the sense of our place within the ecosystem even more abstract.
Our DNA contains traces of life as old as 700 million years. Cells belonging to various microorganisms inhabiting ourbodies, outnumber our own 3:1. Our surroundings are what we’re made of. We are the sand, the forest, the ocean.
Humanoid fauna and flora.
Most pictures in the series are in coral tones. Chosen by Pantone as the colour of year 2019. Living Coral is meant to evoke the wonders of natures and highlight their authenticity.
